  1. Welcome to J-Works 2.2 for DOS.
  2.  
  3. J-Works 2.2 is a fast and accurate method of performing load
  4. calculations for sizing heating and cooling systems.  It is
  5. intended for use with the ACCA Manual J manual.
  6.  
  7. The file JWORKS22.ZIP is a compressed file
  8. containing the following files:
  9.  
  10. JWORKS.EXE     This is the executable program file.
  11. JWORKS.WKB     This is the data overlay file.
  12. JW22DOCS.TXT   This is the manual for the program in txt
  13. format.
  14. JW22DOCS.WRI   This is the manual for the program in Windows
  15. Write format.
  16. JW22DOCS.DOC   This is the manual for the program in
  17. Microsoft Word 6 format.
  18. REGISTER.TXT   This is the registration form to register the
  19. program.
  20. JW22ICON.ICO   This is the J-Works 2.2 icon if you want to
  21. launch from Windows.

  23. You will need PKUNZIP 2 to unzip these files.

  25. Hard drive installation:
  26. It is recommended that you make a directory on your hard
  27. drive JWORKS and copy the files README.TXT and JWORKS22.ZIP
  28. to that directory.  Then change to that directory and type
  29. PKUNZIP JWORKS22 at the dos prompt.  The above files will
  30. automatically be extracted into your JWORKS directory for
  31. use.  Type JWORKS to begin the program.

  33. Floppy disk installation:
  34. If you wish to run J-Works 2.2 from a floppy disk, copy the
  35. files README.TXT and JWORKS22.ZIP to a floppy disk.  NOTE:
  36. The above files when expanded will occupy 847kb of disk
  37. space.  Then change to that floppy drive and type PKUNZIP JWORKS22
  38. at that drive's dos prompt.  The above files will
  39. automatically be extracted onto your floppy disk for use.
  40. Type JWORKS to begin the program.

  42. Please read the REGISTER.TXT file and JW22DOCS.xxx files
  43. prior to using J-WORKS 2.2.
